Who has an Organ at home?
« on: June 13, 2005, 08:02:11 PM »
I have a B3 at home that I got from an Estate sale several years ago.  The deceased purchased it new I believe in 1976 or 1974 I can't remember right now but it is on the paper work that was in the organ stool when I purchased it.  It was like furniture with no scratched.  Anyway I was wondering how many musicians have an Organ at home and what kind.  (I also have the Roaland VK7 portable organ with the PK5 pedals)

I have a hammond at home. I believe it's the L-100 series.  It just went out on me this past saturday.  I haven't started troubleshooting the problem yet. :(

I have a Hammond M3 (Baby B3) at home that I use for practice and I play a Hammond A-100 with a 122 leslie at my church. I also had a Hammond X-5 portable organ and a H-100 organ but recently sold them both. I love the A-100.

I just got an old Hammond CV so that I could learn the organ.  I have much respect for anyone who is able to keep up with playing and practicing without an organ at home.  My church is far from my house (and work).  There is no way I could ever get better if I could only practice by going there.  I investigated buying pedals that I could midi into my keyboard, but, in the end it was cheaper to get an old organ.

I used to have a couple of Hammonds but sold them.  I need another one.  Right now I just have a 122 Leslie, though.

I got an A-1oo @ the crib, mint, 122 Leslie, had it since March '05. Since I'm moving, I gotta condense my stuff, and it's for sale here in Detroit, preferrably to a church or something. It's going for $7300 OBO.  I have the original papers also [ it's been alive since 1961 ], and STILL kicking. What's that about ? I play it every week, the percussion is a monster, and bass is dominant, and the highs is sky-high, like my electric bill. [ 1 reason it's gotta go ]. Anyone in Detroit can come hear it for real. It''s the joint. Others you wanna travel, I ain't mad. Come on thru. I'll be around
I'm not finished playing
