The funniest thing happened to me today.

I don't know how many of ya'll want to here this. but today i was practicing on my set i had headphones on with a click  just workin on my timind and my odd measure.  Then i put on some cd's to play to . I was up there for a couple of hours no one was home but me I was dgoing to town.  And i couldn't here anything the phone the door. nothing I was playin and my mom came up stairs and was screamin at me for like 10 sec. I happened to look up and she scared the mess out of me.  Man my heart dropped so for into my stomach. I just though i tell ya'll that  Cause we are still laughing about.  She said she could hear me playin down the street.

Same thing happened to me on more than one occasion. One day I left the door open so my girlfriend could get in the house. The thing is when I started practicing I got so engulfed that I forgot that she was coming over so when she walked in my room I actually screamed like a chimpanzee. I thought "Lord, I hope you don't allow me to do that in a real situation. Give me the courage Jesus... give me the courage."

It's not just me!!! I remember one time I was playin... I play in the basement. Had my headphones on, blazin'.... My mom came down, but I didn't see her. She didn't scream or anything.... She may have called my name out a few times.... I was in my own world. All of a sudden I looked up, she was there looking at me, like "what is he doing?"  :lol:

I'm glad i don't play w/ my eyes closed though

Late reply but this is mad funny. I don't know why I get so scared, I scream like a chick when someone walks in. Its real wierd. I was practicing and my sister opened the door, its like I knew she was coming in but once I saw her it scared the crap out of me and I was yelling at her "never come in my room while IM practicing!" all heated lol

I know this had to happen to somebody. I was at this gig at my school a few years ago. I was gettin into this song. Well... this is before I learned of the importance of the pocket, and playing with the band  :lol:  I was playing so hard that I broke a stick... Everybody's probably thinking "so what" right? Yeah everybody breaks stix, but where does the rest of your stick go? Mine went inside my saxophonist's instrument... but he was behind me. To this day I'm trying to understand how it happened.
