:) I wouldnt call myself a prodigy either, i am 16 years old, been playing since the age 12. My musical mentors are Marcus Witherspoon Sr. (uncle crazy on the organ) Melvin Crispell( a very good friend of the family) John Peters, Joe "Flip" Wilson, Justin Savage, Jerod Howard( crazy on the organ/rhodes), Mike Stokes( crazy on the piano/organ/rhodes). If u haven't figured it out yet I represent South Jersey. I come from a musical family. As long as u keep God first you will suceed in every measure of your life on the real.

Prodigy, I wouldn't call myself that (though I refer to myslef as one as a joke often). I'm more like a potentially great musician, singer, intellectual, poet, songwriter, artist, preacher, servant of GOD, and overall man, whos talent is not where it should be due to video games, sharing a room, thinking too much, and procrastination. (That was long-winded, wasn't it?)

All teen prodigies should be practicing.  That is how you get to Carnegie Hall.

An interesting site for young musicians is www.fromthetop.org.  Check it out and listen to their radio program on National Public Radio.  Those young people are really good.
