I play with Evans myself and I love the deept of the bass and the fill it gives.  Check it out  Stay Blessed.

Yo fellas, those of you guys that are switching from Superkick 2's to EMADS need to know the difference.  Superkick 2's are 2 ply heads.  EMADS are 1 ply.  Why don't you guys try the Superkick 1's.  Believe me, you'll never go back to any one of the two.  I played a Yamaha set with S.K. 1's and all I did was smile in amazement as I played.  It sounded really good. :D

when i first started using the Sk2 i had been telling my one friend he needed to get it instead of his evans joint, he didn't listen.  then when he heard the difference in my drum he was angry and within weeks he took his NEW evans  head off  and put the SK on - that's like a $36 loss.  the head must be the truth. i'm a evans man to the fullest but i just can't get beyond the sound that the SKicks provide it is unbeatable.

I agree. I like both the EMAD and SK1. I think the EMAD is a cleaner sound the SK1 has a muffled sound to it. You also gotta think about what drumset you're putting on. What type of shells.

 looks like you'll have to decide on your own...i don't think you'll be disappointed with either purchase (emad vs. superkick). everybody has different tastes, so just get the one you'll feel most comfortable with.

holla...

I like the evans eq4 with the the evans pillow up against the batter head!
if u mike your drums ,use a 4' hole and the evans pillow up against the resonant head  and boom very nice! really skll's and the emad sound sweet. cant go wrong! what kind of mic do u guys use in the kick drum. I use a shure beta 52. also I use the evans flampad so i dont wear the head out to fast. if u want that kik drum clik jus add some 12k to it

i personally like the eq3 it gives ur bass drum that tone that u only hear on cd's or recordings but the emad and super kick 2 are hot o yeah and i put the smallest dampening ring that u get with a emad in between the muffling ring of the eq4 and that sound better than the superkick and the emap put together
