Regardless of what you are a fan of. What is the best professional style keyboard out now such as Roland Fantom, Korg Oasys, Yamaha Motif, or the new Korg Triton or what ever. Bottom line what is the best keyboard out right now. As far as sound and features.

I love my 64 Hammond C3 and Leslie so much, that everytime I go into a music store and see all those workstations and keyboards, I get a big yawn and walk over to the consignment rack to see what interesting vintage stuff they have.

So I'll have to go with a vintage Hammond organ being the best 'keyboard' out there.

If you force me to name a new piece, that new XK3 Hammond system they have coming out is going to be the next big thing, as far as organs go....

Out of the keyboards that you named, the Korg Oasys is by far the best board out there but it comes with a $8,000 price tag.

I hear ya Daryl, but I prefer the Korg Pa1x and Pa1x Pro. They are less than half the cost of the Oasys and the quality of ALL the sounds are the best I've heard yet. The Piano's are off the chain, the EP Rhodes is insain. The Drawbar organs are so sweet you feel the need to buy a volume pedal. The guitar sounds and expression effects tied into the volocity sensitive keys are ground breaking. I didn't have that long to play one but my time spent with it I barely tapped into its capabilities.

$3100 for the Pa1x (61 Keys with speakers)
$3500 for the Pa1x Pro (76 Keys)

Those are really pricy boards for few keys. Won't a Korg Triton Extreme 88 kyes do the trick? And Motif has good piano sounds.

KORG TRITON ROCKS!

The Yamaha Motif has some nice sounds, but as one who does a lot of sequencing, the Korg Triton was easier to learn. I also like the orchestral sounds on the Kurzweil 2600 Series (but I can't afford it).

P.S. to 4hisglory: The new Korg OASYS costs $8000?!? For real?!?! Darn, I wanted one. :cry:

I'm not on keys regularly like you guys but I like my Triton Workstation, Motif has more of piano feel with weighted keys though. My boy has that one! Ron, holla at ya boy!

Although I dont have a board all of my boys have or have had Fantoms, Motifs and Trirons. I would have to go with the Fantom X for the simple fact that it has wonderful sounds and it is very user friendly

I JUST WENT TO THE MUSIC SHOP TODAY AND PLAYED THE YAMAHA P250
ALL THE SOUNDS ARE http://OFF THE CHAIN AND IT HAS A 16 TRACK REC. ITS THE SAME ONE ISRAEL HOUGHTON USED ALOT IN HIS ANOTHER LEVEL CD. @ $1999.00 ITS A GREAT DEAL
