I held down midweek service on the bass.
« on: November 09, 2005, 10:36:40 PM »
Im just kinda happy I played the bass for midweek service tonight. I actually shooked myself that I was able to play as well. It's been from getting into this bass-off and practcing the last few weeks. I was playing the basics like holding the root, the shout basslines, and the 3-6-2-5-1 progressions. I gives you a joy when you have accomplished something.  :D I few people have been shocked in the last few services. I brought my guitar to church last week but i didnt really play to much. Then the bass tonight. Most of the members know I have been playing keys and organ and not the guitar and bass.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

it was a Morgan Monroe viking... i miss it so much, no only playing it, but i loved that bass, id take the bass over the insurance money any day even though its worth 8 times the amount i paid for it...

it was stolen from the church, i left it there from wednesday until sunday and it was stolen at like 2 in the morning on sunday
.  in fact, there was a volinteer cleaning and she thinks she might have heard them but she didnt think anything of it until the next day..

and the bass is almost impossible to buy because ive only seen 2 of them in all the time ive been playing and thats mine and one on ebay... and the one on ebay isnt that great looking... the bass isnt even on the morgan monroe webpage
