do any one else have this problem?

This happens to me every now and then.  I try to learn a song but I can't sing it; therefore I can not get the melody.  Sometimes I am able to go ahead and get the chords I am singing.  The two songs I am thinking about that happened to me lately is walk around heaven and the prayer of jabez.

It takes me like days to be able to sing the song without the cd. Therefore like one week to learn the song from the cd.

that has happened to me before but all i did was call my m.o.m. and she would sing it

My music teacher in high school had us sing our part on a song if we were not playing it right. Like singing the melody or if the rhythm was off. So that's what I do and most times it works. If not, CALL SOMEONE!!     But I know an organist that claims to be tone deaf when singing, and he gets by fine. I've heard him sing, and yeah it is bad... but again, he gets along just fine.
