Seems like a pretty good bass. It reminds me of my Dean Edge. I say try it out.

For the price and features, you have a winner.  I made a similar choice, but with the Peavey Fury, about three yaers ago.

Peavey doesn't offer the Fury anymore; however, the new Millennium seams to be the same.  The only difference that I've noticed is the bridge is updated, the hardware (Bridge, tuners, and knobs) are black instead of anodized silver, and the head stock has a newer Peavey logo.

I think Peavey basses in this price range are often overlooked by Ibanez basses in the same range.  The millennium is probably made in Korea, but does that really matter?

I'm more than happy with my Peavey and don't feel the need to upgrade unless I just happen to come across a couple thousand dollars, and then I would buy another Peavey...the Cirrus.  :D

Even though I'm a newbie to the bass, I've been around music all my life...mostly lead and bass guitar as far as instruments go but I have a good ear.  This is the exact bass that I have and I'm happy with it and just as Dubster, I don't feel a need to upgrade unless I'm going all the way!  I took my time and reasearched many basses before I decided on this one.  I must warn you though, this bass is a monster on the batteries but I have found that if I use top quality batteries like Duracel batteries that are made purpose for electronics, I get longer battery life.  Hope this helps.  God Bless!

so you have this bass but you need new strings......

question, it's my understanding that this bass is 34 inch scale. this part doesn't really matter

I want to know if the B string flops anymore then the E string. if you tell me no or maybeumm it's not too bad... then I think this will be my first 5 string. luckily for me I have have a good deal of experience on a 5 string
