I don't think the majority of people on here has ever heard of Damita Haddon...or her cd. I plan to get it, but I've only heard a couple songs.

I'm guessing she's popular back in Detroit.

I've heard of Damita Haddon (and I'm all the way in Delaware!) I have her cd and I love that song too. I tried to pick it out by ear but didn't get very far though.

Hey Preacha...
Here goes the basic chords for Calvary... It's one of my daughters favorites songs...  Be blessed

Calvary  By Damita
(Key of F)

          F/ACF      F/BbDbG      F/BbDbF
There’s a place I always see it in my       dreams

Bb/BbDG      G/CDFA   C/BbCEG
I recognize the    place,    it’s Calvary

F/BbDbG      F/ACF
They don’t notice that I’m there

     A/DbEGC(Bb)   D/CDFA
No one stops to look or stare

G/CDFA      B/BDG   C/BbDFA   C/BbCEG
As I look upon the hill I see something so unreal

F/DbGBb   F/CFA   F/DbGBb   F/CFA
I see my Saviour       nailed to the cross

Bb/ADG      D/ACDF   G/CFA   B/BDG  C/BbCEG
He did it all for    me right    here at    Calvary

F/DbFBb        F/CFA   A/DbEGbB     Db/DbEGC  C/CFA  C/CDFA
They pierced Him in the side    blood was pouring in His    arms

Bb/ADG      D/ACDF
There was weeping at His feet

    G/BbDFA   C/BbCEG      Db/ADbEG     D/ACDF
I fell and worship on my knees at Calvary   (Transition chords-interlude)
TRANSITION CHORDS:  Bb  F2  Bb  Ab  Gb   C/BbCEG

I see my Saviour nailed to the cross
He did it all for me right here at Calvary
He didn’t have to die could have called angels to His side
To carry Him away
But He decided to stay at Calvary
Thank you for Calvary
