Gifts of the Holy Spirit
« Reply #1 on: January 13, 2006, 10:00:25 PM »
There are actually nine Gifts of the Spirit.  1 Corinthians 12:1-11.  They are as follows:
1.  The Word of Wisdom
2.  The Word of Knowledge
3.  Faith
4.  Gifts of Healing
5.  Working of Miracles
6.  Prophecy
7.  Discerning of Spirits
8.  Divers Kinds of Tongues
9.  Interpretation of Tongues

I hope that helps you.

There's also 9 "fruit" of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Music theory is not always music reality.

Also do not confuse the evidence of tongues during the baptism of the Holy Ghost and tongues during prayer and worship as the Gift that must be interpreted.  Some refer to tongues during prayer as our prayer language.  We as flesh do not understand what we are saying but our spirit is fruitful.  It is obvious when the Gift of tongues is in operation, the whole congregation comes to a hush then the message is given in tonuges.  Then after either the same person, another saint, or the man of God will give the interpretation.  Most often women are used, I feel cause they are more spirtually sensitive.

Are you saying that the evidence of tongues during the baptism of the Holy Ghost is different from tongues during prayer and worship?

Normally I wouldn't answer for someone else  :D but.... when Kadman mentioned the tongues during the baptism of the Holy Ghost and tongues during prayer and worship, those TWO tongues were jointed together with the conjuntion 'and'. The seperation came when he said, "as the Gift that must be interpreted."

To answer your question, No, he was not saying that the evidence of tongues during the baptism of the Holy Ghost is different from the tongues during prayer and worship.
