I have two favourites one is James Hall and Worship & Praise because of there strong/ powerful vocals and one of the sickest bands ever put together. The other is Ricky Dillard same reason and I love his energy when he directs.

1. Tri City Singers- The best sounding most balanced gospel choir I have ever heard

2. Olanda draper and the associates- The most disciplined choir, with a full thick sound, and great show choir moves

3.Ricky dillard- Out of all the hard vibrato choirs out there, they were the first and the best

4. Kurt Carr- see #1 but I think DL got them by a hair

5.Vision- sounding better and better with each album

6. Rebirth of kirk franklin Choir- They sound like pure well balanced angels

7.Potter's House Choir-see #1 and #6

8. The group that sang on Byron cage' album Prince of praise(of course they were put together by kurt carr)

9.Tommies- at one point no gospel choir could touch them with a ten foot pole. They had the best songss and were an excellent show choir

10.Hezekiah walker- Very few choirs can jam like them...they always have 2 and 3 songs off one album on the radio at the same time

11. Mississippi Mass- They are one of the most known traditional gospel choirs in the world. Probably the most known....EVERYONE HAS HEARD OF THEM and they keep with there style

12. James Hall- Very few choirs have there discipline and there distinctive vibratto rich sound

Ok im tired there may be more I will type later

Now, that's funny. I've told you I love the, "Oh, what a time" CD, right?

WHITFIELD STILL RULZ and the man is gone!  I have never heard harmony that tight and phat that would instantly bring tears to your eyes because the words were as beautiful as the "strange" voice parts (strange in a good way).

Hezekiah Walker because most of their songs have no leader and that's good.

Mississippi Mass Choir because of their legendary voice.

John P. Kee because he's been doing for a good while.

COGIC National choir (Loved the recordings in the 80's)

Southwest Michigan State (Dr. CLark's Choir) They really set the tone for the choir boom in the 70's-90's

Institution Radio Choir (Need I say more, they are the Hitmakers)

Ricky dillard and the New Generation Chorale (Listen to the 1st album "The Promise" they have only gone up since then...

Phyllis Kennedy Bolden & The New Children of Christ Community Choir (houston Texas)  Love their style, Real church)

Helen Stevens & the Voices Of Christ (representing Cali back in the day)

Dr. Charles Hayes and the Cosmo (Hitmakers in thier own rite, Jesus can work it out, Stepback, Is he Satisfied with me, God did it for me, Before I take it back,If anybody can He can, What you need more evidence???)

I got more, I just gotta run...
