Gospel Style Chords
« on: April 04, 2004, 08:22:13 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm having problems with my chord voicings.  I know how to read music, and I know how to read with chord symbols, however, they just have a really poppy sound, which is fine when I'm playing in a worship band, I just need some advice on making my chords have a gospel style sound, and I'd even like to incorporate those bluesy, jazzy chords with contemporary music, especially when I'm playing background music.  Is there some secret formula to give normal chords a gospel style sting?

Without hearing or having an example of your style, no one can really give you an accurate answer. Try posting some examples of what you do for a simple song.
