I tell you what wrong with him he showing out trying to steal the spot light from Ruben.
Case close
I've read a few of your posts here and it seems that you don't like the busier style of playing. Please don't take this as a personal attack or anything of the sort, but not everyone is going to play the same way. Some people like playing/listening to a busier style while others prefer a more toned down approach.
Just like DeBassJr1 said, the producers wouldn't have allowed the track to make it onto the CD if they hadn't liked what they heard. Gouche is an amazing bass player and is also a musical director. I can remember reading an article on him stating that he won't take a gig if he's not going to be the MD. Is this because he's selfish or wants to "steal the show"? In my opinion, No. Honestly, I think the man just knows his stuff and wnats to play at his best every single time. He knows himself and how he plays so he prefers to be the leader that God has called him to be.
Again, don't take this as me trying to step on your toes. I'm just asking you to keep an open mind when listening to someone else play. I've never heard you play but I'm sure there's someone out there who thought you didn't play enough notes/runs/etc. Now that's not to say that they are right because having different gifts is what makes each of us unique in God's sight but to bash on someone else isn't right.
Just my .02 cents.
God Bless,
