Hey Everyone! Just an introduction of myself.........I'm from the Illinois area and have played the guitar for many, many years...(don't let the "many" years fool you...I'm still a young man and still learning new things about the art of playing the guitar skillfully!! I'm originally from Caruthersville, MO.
I moved to the Illinois area over 10 years ago. Now, I'm assistant MOM. at Pentecostal Power Church,
St. Louis, MO. where Bishop Charles Webb is the pastor.  I've played for several groups and have recorded on several CD's. NO GOODNESS OF MY OWN...GOD GETS ALL THE GLORY!!!!

Hey, I'm Madame aka Shirley. I'm from London, so I can't come and jam with anyone  lol. I'm only 15, and I've been learning since I was 11. If any one has some CD's that they recommend I listen to, please help me out because I'm pretty inexperianced. I play for Dominion Centre (not Dominion Theatre for Hillsongs! People always get that confused  ). I'm upgrading all my equipment at the moment, and I'm just trying to get funding. Nice to meet every one!

Hey everyone, I'm jonzeewm. I hail from Horn Lake Mississippi, only been play for about eight months for The male choir at the church that I attend.  I was a lead singer for about three years , then one day I bought a guitar and would take it to rehearsals until I learned enough to play some the song that we performed. I'm still learning everyday.....

Hey airbody my name is Kevin and I am from Cleveland Ohio. I am a part of Imani Chuch where I play guitar and run sound. My main axe right now is a Yamaha Pacifica and my amp is a Crate 212 with onboard effects. The only other effect I have at church is my trusty Dunlop Wah pedal (gots to have the wah!!! ) We play mostly comtemporay R&B/Jazz flavored Praise&Worship/Gospel  but can go old school if need be. I view my role in this unit as flavoring, our M.O.M and rhythm section hold it down pretty good. It's great to meet everybody.

JM120-212, I'm from central California. My axe, fender american strat-noiseless pickups, also have custom built carvin copy with seymour duncan pickups. lil jb at the bridge. my amp is a roland jc 120 with an me-50 effects unit and vox wah. I play guitar for Compassion Christian Center where we play contemporary gospel but frequently break out old school. Right now our praise band consists of a bass player, drummer and me on guitar. we ARE believing God for a keyboard player. I've been playing for 4yrs. and I'm finally starting to hit a stride that I'm comfortable with. I thank God for this site and look forward to fellowshiping with everyone.

Greetings to all!   I am Rick, the BigStratPlayer from Oklahoma City, OK.  I belong to St. John Missionary Baptist Church where I am the Lead Guitarist.  I and the other musicians play for all of the choirs as well as the Sanctuary Orchestra and the Jazz Ensemble.  We play all kinds of music from contemporary Gospel, contemporary Christian, quartet, country, jazz, and traditional Gospel.  I primarily play a Fender Stratocaster through a Line 6 Spider head and cabinet.

Sorry to be so late jumpin' into this thread but my name is Keith. I play at Joseph Campau Ave. Church of God in Detroit, MI. My style is more on the jazzy side but I'm also playing with a Christian band with another guitar player that is more on the country rock side of the spectrum. The bass player is kind of smooth  jazz/southern gospel/soft rock.  We're still pretty much in the formitive stage trying to mesh the different influences so we haven't quite defined our personal style yet. However we're auditioning for a singer and a keyboard player so Im hopeful that he/they will provide more of a hub that we can coalesce around. God bless everyone and keep on playin'.

Hi all-

Im gmansaxe from Philadelphia.  I've been playing guitar for 28 years but I am new to playing Gospel music (2 years now).  I play a Strat American Delux and an Ibanez AS120 through a Fender Blues Deville or Marshall JCM800.  I use a peddalboard with several stomp boxes (right now I am really loving the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone) a Dunlop Wah and an Ernie Ball volume peddal, instead of a multi effects unit.  I'm really looking to get more familliar with Gospel chord phrasing, I am comming along slowly but surely.  My influences are anyone whos got "It" (I love the guitar, I'm not too picky, if it makes my foot tap Im cool).  My goal is to elevate the service and bring the anointing, I always pray that god will use me for his glorification when I play.  I am at the Sword of the Spirit, CLGI (Church of the Living God International) in Lansdowne, PA. 

If anyone is in the area lets get together and share.
