Updates on Classic Books

...this announcement comes straight out of the pages of the New Modern Drummer Magazine with Stewart Copeland on the cover page:  1.  The New Breed will now include a CD with the exercises on it an a bonus Gary Chester (author) interview done by Danny Gottlieb.  In the interview, Mr. Chester covers insightful ideas and approach to the exercises in the book.  A must have.

          2.  Joe Morello has completed Master Studies II and it is filled with a lot of challenging exercises that will totally have your head aching.  It is a follow up to Master Studies and it took Mr. Morello a few years to write.

         3.  The Encyclopedia of Double Bass Drumming has been updated due to the evolution of double bass drumming.  It will now include added sections and exercises like using doubles on each foot and new syncopated patterns etc. These updates where done due to the double bass playing of the two phenoms in Drumming, Thomas Lang and Virgil Donati.  These two are going to have everyone rewrite their books.

Thanks for the updates. Master Studies II that's definitely going to be interesting equating serious work. I will have to check out the other two as well. I have been receiving my subscriptions late for some reason lately. Thanks again J.
