I agree with you girl,
and your point was well stated but ....
....In my humble opinion
there seems to be doubt
that no matter your color
you can still give a SHOUT!
A Shout with your voice
and let's be real clear
it ain't about steppin
on toes you hold dear
But proclaiming the Word
and that Word would be God's
but I still can't find many
who'll out do the odds
The odds are the norm
of what most folk do be preachin'
but I still ain't for sure
of those we be reachin'
We continue to stammer
and say the same words
a recycling of rhetoric
that we've already heard
But there's new direction
a call from on high
how many will heed
vision drawing us nigh
Nigh meaning...
Closer to Him,
and not wasting time
but meeting the goal
where we should
all be aligned
Not divided by sentiment
or traditional living
but standing firm on the
Word that God's givin
I dropped in again
to leave these few words
I pray that you read them
and don't flip the bird
And DON't jump the shark
But Reach High toward the mark
of the High Calling of Christ
that frees and leads us
out of the dark!

I was running in the park
Just did about 8 miles
And I had to make a stop
And thank god for a little while
For the many things he has given
Things that not all can do
I had to thank him for use of my limbs
And the use of All of my senses too
I had to thank him for the air
Cause I don’t have a machine
Pumpin and workin my heart
So that I may be able to breathe
I have the use of MY legs
Not one that is prosthetic
And that he gave me limbs
That allows me to be athletic
I thank him for the use of my mind
And that I am not crazy
That he gave me the desire to work
And not sit around and be lazy
I thanked him for all these things
And a lot more
But I thanked him most
For opening the door
The door to salvation
A life without strife
A door to great health
The door to eternal life
