DDrums
« on: September 01, 2006, 12:02:38 AM »
Greetings LGM family

Would anyone happen to know anything about DDrums?  Apparently Dave Weckl, Gerald Heyward, and many other prominent drum figures endorse them.  I am in the market for a kit and I'm trying to do some research on companies and their products.

Thanks and God bless

DDrum are really nice kits for the money. They are made over seas keeping the price low. THe guys you mentioned however are users of the DDrum electronics not the acoustic drums. Gerald did however rock out on a ddrum kit at NAMM as seen on the GospelChops vid clip from NAMM.

E-R has a DDum Dominion Maple kit at his church and loves it.

Me, I am a serious fan of the Dominion Ash kits and hope to get one by spring if not sooner

Be on the lookout for the Alll-Maple Yamaha World kit coming out for Christmas. They are finally putting an All-Maple kit in the $1,000 price market.

Correction its called the All-Maple Yamaha Tour Custom, and they sound wicked! I played them at a Trade show in Toronto last week. As for DDRUM Gerald and Dave arnt playing them that's just pure rumours.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I really appreciate it.

If Gerald and Dave don't endorse DDrums, why are they listed under the 'Acoustic Artist' section on the DDrums website?  Come to think of it, they have "Snoop Doggy Dog" listed under that section as well.  Are they a legitimate company?

They are definitely a legitimate company. Maybe Snoop Dogg's Drummer endorses their drums....

I own a DDRUM Kit. A dominion Maple kit with the natural finish. They are incredible drums for the price you pay. Dont expect Yamaha Customs, Tama Starclassics or Pearl Reference quality...because they are not up there. Would I recommend them...Absolutely!!! They are well worth it.

Here is my kit:

God bless.

I have never heard DDrum personally, but Big Mike Clemons is endorsed by them and he tells me that they are awesome.  We may get a set for the church.

...get the set.  I've heard Pudge doing his thing on Bobby Jones with Tye & G.A. on their Ddrum kit and it sounded great.  The 22x20 inch (22" deep) kick is off the hook and so is the 20x20.  They also come with die cast hoops.  Get 'em while they're hott!!

Many of the artists that were named such as Dennis Chambers and Gerald Heyward  use the triggers made by ddrums. I recently bought a snare made by ddrums. While out at different programs, I've had drummers ask can they buy mine. I believe they will be big one day.
