New Born Soul - Wanda Nero Butler

I've tried so hard to figure out this word Ms. Butler is singing inthe verse to "New Born Soul". If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks!

This is an oldie, I think back in the mid to late 80's (if that helps any), but I'm loving this song right now!

I think I was able to make out what she was singng, it sounds like "everyone", so I'm going to go with that...thanks anyways.  :)
