Thomas Lang SUCKS! Ok ill go wash my mouth out with soap! ;D His DVD is dead boring but it is freakin awesome! Learn the exercises and it will open your world up!

I agree I didn't like his DVD... But the guy is a freakin' monster when it comes to 4-way independence..

You know, E-R ... I'm not sure if I disagree. Listening to Lang is like listening to TECHNICAL perfection. It does blow me away, but I don't really feel it. I mean, I feel the same about Virgil Donati. I respect both of those guys highly, but I wonder if they've crossed over into a level of that I can't feel anymore, or if they're just great technicians with no feel.

I'm, as of right now, I'm undecided. As always, it's all really subjective....sooo.....

As MaestroDivine said Thomas Lang,Billy Cobham and Virgil Donati are Technical Perfectionist,Chops for days and Groove, But I don't consider them to be Funky. I'm in AWE and RESPECT what they do but I just don't think they  would be thought of as Funky.

WoW!!! I can agree with you about Lang and Donati but Billy Cobham not being funky... I dont know about that. Its all love though.
