« on: July 27, 2003, 03:17:38 PM »
i'm going to try to explain this my best because i'm a beginner and i don't know all the lingo yet, but here goes:

i play for the church choir and we are going to be doing a few songs on a sunday in 2 weeks and the songs we're doing are You are the Living Word, We Worship You, We Sing the Praises, and Revelation 19.  we want to do something with the band at the beginning, like play bits and pieces of each songs. i do living word in the key of C and i transition it to we worship you in Bb.  i need help going to We Sing Praises (I play that in Eb) to Revelation 19 (i play that in Bb).  if anyone who understands the dilemna i have, can you please help me or give me advice on what to do. thank you

Hello, well depending on where you want to change the key, you can make the transition by going to the 5 of the key you're going to:

living word in the key of C and i transition it to we worship you in Bb. i need help going to We Sing Praises (I play that in Eb) to Revelation 19 (i play that in Bb).

C to Bb the 5th of Bb is F, use this chord: CBb / D
Bb to Eb, the 5th of Eb is Bb! So use this: BbAb / G
Bb back to Eb...the 5th of Bb id F so use: CBb / D

hope these help
