I'm more impressed with the Grand Piano...Especially when I have to sit there and figure out how to mess with the sounds....But I just think it was to big to be trying to do gigs with it

Question for you guys.....I want to know other than the weighted keys is there any difference between the MO6 and MO8....I don't really like hammer keys and the main reason is cause all my boards have been Non hammer...help me out though
I was skeptical about the weighted keys also, until i played on the Casio 8000, nice action. To me they did'nt feel like hammer keys but the salesman insisted they were. They felt more like light weighted keys. Certainly not a Mo... Motif... Roland... Korg... but it gets the job done. Casio really has stepped up their game by capturing the realism and the essence of the actual sounds such as the piano, organ, ep's,etc...

I agree with you, Casio has really been coming up lately... some of their organs are the best I've heard.

Yes it is. The RD-700sx has two good pianos. The FantomX has a great piano, and some other older older board are quite good too.

I would not dare front on the Roland Fantom.  I love it.  It was out of my price range.  The board you want all depends on you and your style and what you are trying to do.  If I could afford the Roland It would be sitting right here.

God Bless,

Brother Mark Wilson

I like the fantom to.That is a great keyboard.

Well i love my TR61  by Korg good sound for about $999.00 at guitar center. The next above that is a triton 61 key. but it depends on what you like,my second brand suggestion would be the roland X6 or X8. Just play them until you find what fits you best  :)

I am looking to purchase a keyboard as well. I have it narrowed down to the Roland 700sx or the 300SX.  Has anyone played both of these?  If so please explain the difference between the two.  I am unable to actually put my hands on any of these keyboards because there is no place to do so in my city.  I am curious if the 300 has the articulation of  the 700, but just fewer voices.  Or did they take memory from the articulation to lower the  price  ?   Either one would be good, I just want something as close to an acoustic piano as possible within my budget!

I did see the new Yamaha demonstration, and all I can say is can it fly? There seems to be nothing it can't do!!! I don't need all of the stuff on it, but I would love the level of piano articulation from that machine.  I think that no one can match that machine's ability to mimic an acoustic piano in feel, response or sound.  JMHO!

I thank you in advance for a reply to my question.
