I am very interested in playing music.  I am learning to play the song "always" by kirk franklin, but i'm not sure how to play the notes.  Can someone help me to play this song and to understand the notes and the chords on a piano keyboard with left hand and right please. Any and all help will be very apprectiated.

Hello saint of God. There was a room started not too long ago by an incredible sister who put things on the site to teach folks how to read music. I'm afraid the room is closed at the moment.

However, I would recommend that you start by going to a music store and get a level one piano book. Schaum's Method for Adults is a great one if you are a teenager or older. It will start with the treble and move you on to chording, accompaniment, everything you need to know how to read music.

I truly hope this helps and encourages you to pursue your music ministry. If there is anything anyone can help with, please holla back.   :D  Be Blessed!

I greet u in the name of JESUS CHRIST our savior. I'm a musician who was hungry to learn how 2 improve my playing, but the only way i could do that is by learning the theory of music & learning how 2 read music. So i'm starting over by learning the basics first. So by u learning the basics u can never go wrong.. I encourge u & praying 4 u that GOD will bless u 2 play skillfully but most of all play under the POWER OF GOD!!!!!!!!

Thank you bboy & kappa/Donald for you replies.  You both have given me very helpful info.  The best way to start learning to play music is to ask our father in heaven for his guidance and help.  It seems like the next step is to start with the basics.  Here is a good site that has been very helpful: http://www.free-online-piano-lessons.com/.  It has free piano lessons starting with scales and moves up to chords, progressions, inversions etc.  It also has links, hopefully this site will be a blessing to you.  Thank you again for your help I will be praying for you.  may God give you favor
