My father and I both play guitar (mostly electric).  I play most of the lead, but he is more than able, as well.  We have a drummer, and a 12-year-old keyboard player who had to step up to the plate when our pastor and his family left unexpectedly.  She has done wonderful so far.  We lack a bassist (our drummer would rather play bass, but then we would be drummerless).
    We also have a refurbished Hammond C-3 and a Leslie just sitting there, so I'm trying to pick that up.  Big transition from 12 years of guitar.  Keep me in y'all's prayers.

We have a Bass Player, A Organ/Keyboard Player, and a Drummer who is learning how to play the keyboard.

At my church we have:
2 organists
3 pianists
2 bass players
3 drummers
and like some have already said a whole heap of tambourines, shakers and hand clapping!
In years past we only had an organist, but over the last few years God has really poured out His blessings on us.

I'll join this party....


When I first arived at my current church they had an 84 year old woman that played a little piano, and one of our church mothers who is in her mid to late 70's leading worship and chopping chords on the keyboard using a bad organ sound.  4 services later the Pastor called me up to play the keyboard and that let the worship leader to do just that... lead and sing a couple songs.  We also have a future youth leader who plays drums and guitar very well.  We have started using my 15 year old daughter on the drums cause she had the desire to do so.  Which works out well cause I would like to have Guitar to back me up.  The rest of what I have to say I will continue in a Praise and Worship thread I posted in.

My church has 2 musicians

pianist/keyboardist - me
organist/keyboardist/pianist

at my church there are 4 people that can play both the piano and the organ. and we have 2 who only knows how to play the piano. no drummer b/c we can't seem to keep one for some reason and 1 bass guitar.

so in all we have
piano.......2
organ.......1
piano/organ....4
bass guitar......1

But our church is filled with musically inclined people that just have not made the decision or stepped up to the plate to play for the church!!!

We have 12 musicians @ Pleasant Grove Baptist church.(Not including tamborines
6-piano
6-keyboard
1-hammond organist
6-drummers
2-guitar
Plenty of tamboines

 Well all have to rotate unless everybody bring there own instrument.  We are truley blessed.

  Our church is only less than a year old and we're kinda small but there's

  keyboards---me
  drums---my brother
  percussion
  trumpet
  sax
  bass
  lead guitar
  violin

  I play eight other instruments but not as advanced as the keys so I only play those for solos....

All together there are 7:

Drums - 2
Organ - 3
Piano - 4
(The organ & piano folks rotate depending on the choir)

We have
2 organists
2 keyboardists
2 drummers
2 bassists
1 guitarists

One organist, keyboardist, drummer, bassist and the guitarists play at the 7 am service. The other organis, keynoardist, drummer and me(bass) play at the 10:45 service and at any afternoon services.

at my mother's church: 2 musicians (1 service)

keys & organ (me)
drums

at my church: 10+ musicians (split between 3 services)

2 organists
2 keyboards (me)
2 bassists
1 guitarist
3 drummers
others who play on an as needed basis...

Well, according to B3, we only have one true musician because the rest of us only play one instrument.  :D Normally, we have 2 keyboards and a drummer.  As of late, our bass player has been showing up.  When I play keys, the other keyboard player (the only true musician) likes to jump on the lead guitar.

That "musician" stuff kills me. I'm sitting there bass in hand and the M.O.M. asks If I have seen the "musician". Lol
