nah nvm about the EC2s on the floor toms, i think i might just stick wit the G1 batters w/some moongel

Moongel does not improve the sound of a drum. That is a great misconception these days. As Sabe says, its a dampener. Go with G2's. G2's are the same as G1's BUT, they are 2 ply. Coated or Clear. Your preference.

I got the clear ambassaders with the moongell....moongell is the greatest invention...just don't let the kids get to it....LOL

...okay, why would you do this ?/?  Just get an Emperor or a Pinstripe if you want a more controlled sound. 8)

Why ask about heads if you are gonna moongel it? A wasted topic.

dude, just buy ec2's or pinstripes for the floor toms if you want a more focused sound. Don't use moongels. They make drums sound dead. Remember that what you hear when your your playing the drums is not what the audience hear.

MOONGELS SUCK>>>haha :D

God Bless.

lol i listened to the floor toms from the back of the church and them thangs are deeeeeeppp, i could still hear the overtones from way in the back lol.  yeah im still thinkin' about the EC2s though but ive heard a few semi-pro and professional kits with EC2s and they sound horrible, dont know why but they work great with some intermediate level kits like Exports :o  8), i cant even explain how good they sounded. but yeah ill buy one for one my floor toms and see what happens from there.
