I'll be Satisfied by Hezakiah Walker. Thanks again. C_Will
I don't know the Joe Pace song, so I'll do the Hezekiah one. 1st off, it's in Gb. He's using a simple numbering pattern, starting from the intro, it's a 2, then the 5, then 4_3_2_5_1, that's what the bass is playing, and that's what your chord(s) will be. Now the trick is: which chords for those numbers? Well the 2 is a: GbC / Ebm, the 5 is: DbAb / Abm7, then
4 = BGb / Ebm7
3 = BbF / Bbm7
2 = AbEb / Abm7
5 = DbAb / Db
1 - GbDb / Gb
Now, remember you're in Gb, for this song, you have: Gb_Abm_ Bbm_B_Db_Ebm to work with, the bass is moving all around these chords, even when a chord is a "off" sounding, it's an altered chord of one of those mentioned, there's a part in the song where there's chops:
2 = AbEb / Abm7 [ Eb_D ]
6 = EbBb / Ebm7 [ Gb_G ]
2 = AbEb / Abm7 [ Eb_D ]
6 = EbBb / Abm7
[ Eb_D_Db ]
CBb / BbEbAb - {4TH CHORD}
4 = BGb / Ebm7 [ Eb_D ]
6 = EbBb / Ebm7 [ Gb_G ]
2 = AbEb / Abm7 [ Eb_D ]
6 = EbBb / Abm7
As you can see, the song is not that difficult, you have to take it in parts, THEN put it together...like the lyrics, the bass also has key points.
Hope this helped
