The music ministry word for today is PRACTICE. Yes, that's it. Some of us think we can get by without doing it. However, you must govern yourself to practicing. If you want to become better you set aside some time to practice and I don't mean just on instruments. Singers must practice too.
I see too many choir members learn a song on their practice days and don't remember it or don't pick it back up until Sunday morning. Choir members or praise team members must practice also.
Now, there is a way of practicing, but we will talk about that later in a different post. However, some of us have not even got the idea of practicing. For some odd or unknown reason, we just think that we can just sing or play by the "spirit" However, I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying that You must practice. You will never become better without practice.
This is a everyday experience. Even in other fields people practice. Doctors will never become doctors unless they practice. Lawyers will never become lawyers unless they practice. Writers will never become writers unless they practice. Football players will never become football players unless they practice. Saints of God will never become Saints of God unless they practice.
So, practicing is an important part of our daily lives. Not only in music, but also, in other areas. Therefore, get up and practice.
