Me Playing How Great is Our God *tips welcome*

Well here it is.  When I first came on here a few months ago I couldnt play a thing.  Thanks to the help of this site and all of you guys giving me tips and encouragement to keep at it, I think Im starting to get it!  I got a long way to go but God will make a way and provide all I need.    Its in C.  God bless.

I know that there are various videos on YouTube that cover this song, and my favourite would have to be one by a member called 'pmugarura'. He has some great nice and simple movements to add to this song. The link is below.

nice vid bro! I like the simple movements he uses.  I didnt know those movements which was why I had to fill all the space.  I too like this song played simple I just dont know enough chords.  thnks

No problem, we all play with our own distinct styles, I play it a different way but I have now used some of the movements in that video to help me. I'm sure they'll help many others as well.

Thanks DD.  This is a great worship song and its IMO best sang as a large group.  The sound of a large crowd singing "how great is our God" is just so powerful. Then you stop all the music and the crowd is still singing, and the presence of the Lord falls down..........man I feel like havin church

I really enjoyed both clips. When Tye came to memphis about 2 weeks ago, he sung that song. and the concert went another direction. but he was just sing the chorus (i guess). LOL!!!!!!!!

That is a beautiful song that I had not heard before. Are the chords posted anywhere? Does anyone have them, either version?  It seems to be rather easy to play, but the chords seem complex. I would certainly appreciate having the chords if anyone could post them. Thanks,

I didn't check the videos to see exactly how they played them but the chords are in C:

The verses are the same chords minus the G.


If I remember(!) I'll try to post the chords that Israel Houghton uses when he sings at Lakewood.
He takes that song to a whole new level.
Maybe I'll try to post a video or something too.

Thanks Salvador.  If you post the additional chords it will certainly be appreciated on this end. I am steadily trying to work them out from the video, but some of them and the proper inversions are hard to catch.

I figured you would need to hear it to really understand the chords otherwise the chords just seem really awkward.

The chords start lagging towards the end (which is weird because they were actually too fast in the original video)
Also I put E/D but you really could voice (or think of it) as a D2.

Anyway, I'll transpose the chords in a sec. into C since that's the key it seems most people know it in.
