I am a beginner-intermidiate keyboard player and i am looking to purchase a DVD to learn from, What are some of the best any of you guys have used??????
To be honest there are a lot of DVD's that are out there now, that can help you to further learn the keys. I have purchased the Jamal Hartwell's DVD's and some of the DVD's offered by Hear and Play and I must say that I would recommend them to those who want to play with that contemporary style.
Jamal Hartwell's first DVD is great, the Urban & Contemporary Worship helped me a lot and allowed me to increase my playing knowledge and style, I have also purchased the Urban Extreme but I must warn you that this was done in mind of those who know how to play and want to really flip a song in an extreme way so I would only recommend it if you know how to play and want to do something different. Jermaine's hear and play products have also helped me a lot. These products cover various sections of what one might have to play in a service, from shout music to worship movements, and there are plenty more upcoming. The DVD's are split into different series, its a simple matter of purchasing the series you want that covers the technique you would like to improve.
Although, it must be said it's not really about having all the chords and progressions given to you or what DVD is the best. It's important to know that you must strive to reach a high level of practise and also spend time learning the material given in all keys and the reasoning behind them, without this you are never going to be as good as you could be.
Overall my opinion is that yes these products have a lot to offer and they are well worth purchasing. Finally remember music is a ministry and every time you play it should minister to those who hear.
Check out these websites, that offer various DVD's
Hope This Helps
