Dude welcome to the world of pro tools. pro tools was never designed to be portable in its inital launch. it requires you to an interface has its sound source rather it be digi rack or m audio interface. that's why pro tools will not launch unless you have the interface hooked up. when you bought it they should have sold you that as well. if you want a software that doesnt require that interface to be hooked up try sonar, dp or cubase.
