live set up for practice

Im assuming that all I need is a midi board, laptop, and this softwate( http://www.zzounds.com/item--NINKOMPLETE2)
and i will be able to perform. Can someone confirm this for me and tell me about your set-up if you use something similar to this?

I have never used the "Komplete" bundle before, but I have used the NI B4 on a laptop, with a usb midi cable, and a usb sound card... I hook it up to whatever keyboard happens to be available

I guess it's up to what sounds you looking for and if you going to use loops and what not for it as well.
