Joshua's Troop
« on: August 18, 2003, 01:36:52 PM »
I'm looking for chords for Joshua's Troop, particularly Jesus Will.  I haven't been able to find them anywhere.  If it is taboo to post their songs please let me know that as well and I'll stop looking.  :?

Also, if you know if they have the sheet music anywhere for this I'd appreciate that as well.   :D

Thank you and God Bless,

While you're being patient by waiting for someone to post these chords, have you tried to listen to the song and play what you hear? If not, then it won't hurt to try. If you're new at playing by ear, the best thing to do is listen for the melody, once you hear it play it on your instrument. Once you have that down, move on to figuring out the chords (take it slow, by disecting the chord note-for-note until you have the chord), for most, it's easier to get the chord from the bass note (many times the bass note is the root of the chord). Try doing that and see where it gets you. Have fun and I know you can do it!

Thanks Long Fingers,

I have tried that.  I can pick out the melody and have even begun teaching parts, but I guess it is just lack of confidence on my part when it comes to the key changes.  I'm still working on it.  I just wanted something to compare it to to see how I was really doing.

Thanks,
YA

I'm having problems with the vamp.  There are so many instruments playing all at once.  I don't know what to play.  Any help will be appreciated.  If I can just get the first part of the vamp, I can figure out the modulations/key changes.  Thanks!
