"Oh Lord How Excellent"
« on: September 13, 2004, 03:29:44 PM »
Does anyone know what cd this song is on?  The song is so old it might be on someone's album converted to cd.

In addition to that the chords to the song would definitely be a plus to a young musician thrown into the fire.

Thanks for any assistance.

The correct title of the song is "Perfect Praise" and was recorded by Walt Whitman & the Soul Children of Chicago. Check out the chord section of this site for the chords. If they aren't there, I know they are posted on my site, www.earnestandroline.com.

It is an old song, but you can find a recording of it on the "Gospel Greatest Hits: Volume 3" cd.

I appreciate your assistance.  My father is a pastor and I told him not to worry about a musician because I would do my best.  It is a challenge but there is Nothing too hard for our God to work out.

I'm new.....my dad is getting ready to start a church and needs an organ player. I'm a drummer at heart. But, I really want to learn how to play the organ. I haven't played the drums in a while b/c at my old church I was sat down b/c I became pregnant. I was really upset about that b/c the keyboard player got someone pregnant out of wedlock but b/c he was the pastors god-son he didn't get sat down. I haven't been to church in about 2 years. I visit from time to time and go to different concerts and stuff like that but that's about it. Im in the Maryland area. Any suggestions on where I should start...
