Do you HONESTLY think that God put all that talent and anointing in you just to give you something to do in your spare time?

Do you HONESTLY think He instilled those gifts in you because He had nothing better to do and felt like wasting His time on you!?  BE FOR REAL!

Breaking Habits Through Prayer

"Lord, Your Word says that if I call on You, You will answer me; You will be with me in trouble, You will honor me and You will deliver me (See Ps 91:15).  You said that through the power of Your indwelling Spirit I would be set free from this vicious cycle of temptation, sin and failure (See Rom 8:2).  You said if I fully commit my life to You, I'd have the strength to stand up to the devil and he would flee from me (See Jas 4:7). 

You said You have given me the power to pull down all my old mental strongholds and take control of every wayward thought, imagination, and impulse (See 2Co 10:5).  You said that by reading Your Word each day and meditating on it, I would become a partaker of Your divine nature, and overcome the destructive tendencies of my flesh (See 2Pe 1:4).  You said I'd be strengthened in my mind, my emotions and my will; that my self-worth would be based solely on Your love for me; and that You would do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think - because You are at work in me (See Eph 3:14-21). 

Today I thank You for helping me to overcome this habit.  In Christ's name, amen."

OOoooh Weeeee, man I needed to hear this so baddddd!! I've been going through this same type of thing which I believe is a lack of confidence in the gift that God gave me. Low and behold, I clicked on this thread and here it is right here. Yall I thank God so much for this, you have no idea how much this blessess me.

There's a song by Casting Crowns called, "VOICE OF TRUTH", that has blessed me and lifted my spirit so much, especially during times of "despair, discouragement and doubt"...(These are weapons that the enemy constantly uses against us).

Sometimes we are bombarded by the fiery darts of the evil one, and we hear the voices that seek to tear us down and destroy us,...   
"BUT ...the "VOICE OF TRUTH" tells me a different story!!!"
It tells me of "VICTORY", of "FAITH", and "CONFIDENCE" ... Now that's the "VOICE" I choose to listen to!!!

From posts you know I dont mind telling on myself. 

One testimony for me. Im one to always take a back seat for the sake of peace. I have had plenty of opportunities to do other things and get out in music. I made many sacrifices for my church and really didnt get the appreciation I felt I deserved. In spite of all that God seems to make a way for me on the outside. This site was one of those blessings among others. There were times I felt it was my season to be blessed and I was sure God told me. But circumstances took that away from me. Then when I really didnt want it God started blessing and elevating me. Im now over the brotherhood choir. (I see this happening to me. Lu 2:52)

To be truthful I kinda didnt like that. lol My drive was gone. Yet and still I do what he put in my hands to do. Ive learned sometimes you have to keep your mouth closed when God starts blessing you. If say something to early you may end up in a pit. People will let the devil use them to block you. But you cant stop God's agenda. I see him blessing me now and giving me the opportunity to use what he put in me. People keep coming up to me saying I didnt know you could do this or that. I have seen others go through that same scenario.

When I got to church last night I started to go home and chill before rehearsal but I decided to go in and pray. When I came in the sanctuary a sister was already in there praying going off. lol I got down on my knees and started to pray too. When others came in they did the same thing. When we all got up you could feel the air was clear and ready for rehearsal. That all started because someone was already in there praying. God was showing me last night one person can make a difference. Sometimes you have to let your actions speak for you and stop trying to convince people that you are blessed.
