Newbie looking for Left hand Piano Ideas
« on: September 24, 2004, 12:07:16 PM »
Hello, I a new here.  I need suggestions to a piano gospel left hand to go with Holy, Holy (from Mass by Grayson Brown).  Is there a way for me to scan in the melody to get suggestions from someone?

thanks.

Susan,

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly, but if you can get it into a word processor, you can cut and paste it into your post.  But might I suggest just typing in the notes?

God bless,
Eggs

I have put the melody on my webpage temporarily.

If you could suggest a left hand that would be interesting, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can figure out what chords to play against this melody.  What I'm looking for are suggestions of patterns (riffs) that would give it a real gospel feel.

Thank you.

If you want to add a gospel feel to you music where you would normally use a 7th use a 9 chord or where you would use a maj7 use a 6 or 6/9 chord.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.
