Can you elaborate? In Detail?
I've had the privilege of playing a couple Gospel concerts with Jerry.
At one we were doing in Orlando, my friend Dennis, who had organized the concert and whom led the band, and I and Jerry were driving to the rehearsal for the show and we're trying to learn this new song that Dennis wanted to play that night (I forget the name).
It had this crazy chord progression with all of these extended and compound chords that I could hear but couldn't really define.
Well, Jerry could.

He just listened to it a couple times and started calling the chords out...somethin' somethin' b5, m9, half diminished over Db and so on...and by him naming out the notes, I was then able to hear them more clearly.
That one car ride had a huge impact on my ability to listen and discern and then play.
Jerry, thank you.
