Everyone help!!! What about the musicians???
« on: October 09, 2004, 12:37:26 PM »
Greetings and GOD bless everyone. I don't get a chance to post many messages because I'm always away with the Military, but I have a big question!!!

Why does it seem that everywhere you look or everywhere you go, it's so easy to find literature, sermons, seminars, Devotional Bibles, VHS/DVD/CD series that covers every area of the ministry except for the musicians.

I know that there are a few, but not ones that really break it down and put things blunt enough to cut those who operate in flesh, have no biblical spiritual leadership principals, no musical EAR or talent, no ability to be pro-active, but want to hold the title of Minister of Music..

You can look in an index or search and find stuff about and for Deacons, Ushers, Sunday School teachers, Announcers, Hospitality, lust, Marriage, healing etc.. and so on and even quotes from Saved Sports players.

Where are the SAVED musicians and Minister of Music seminars?

Every other area of the ministry has thousands of seminars and books that they can refer to for help with interpretation of scripture references, but whenever the wrong person gets into the office of Minister of Music, no one can sit them down because there are not enough literature references on the market that breaks down the roles and qualifications of a real Minister of Music.

I am familiar with the scriptures that talk about music ministry but there are some people (like myself) who need it broken down better for the times we live in now!!! I also own the books "Called Appointed Anointed" and "Ministry and Music" I'm always looking for SPIRITUAL answers on some of the battles I go through in the Music Ministry.

I got so many questions that I'm praying about for answers. Can someone please help?

Maybe GOD has given some of you the answers I need to some of my questions???

GOD BLESS you and thanks for reading!!!
Sing unto him a NEW song; play SKILLFULLY with a loud noise "Psalms33v3"

Hi Doc, I understand your frustration, there doesn't seem to be enough when you look around in the christian book stores.  There is more out here than you think though, but there is no centralized clearinghouse where you can get it all.  It requires what you are doing now-hiting the net, checking publishers and talking to other MOMs.  Many people self publish their stuff and sell it over the internet, so a book may be out there, but just hasn't been found.  There are christian bible schools that offer distant learning degrees and diplomas in music and worship.  Right now I'm reading "Empowerd by Praise" by Michael Youssef in order to be better equipped in my understanding, so I can lead P&W more effectively.  I found that book by just roaming the shelves at Borders.  Don't give up Doc your help is on the way. Peace
