"Double Standard: Domestic Violence"Opinions wanted
« on: June 14, 2008, 08:02:02 PM »
Both men and women have double standards.  Most of the double standards that I have heard of I don't like and I don't agree with.  Now, the statement I am about to make may get me into trouble and I am not trying to take sides but I am seeing a different perspective on this issue.

I have heard of Domestic Violence from a man to a woman, but I have seen Domestic Violence from a Man to Woman and a Woman to a Man.

If a woman provokes a man and physically attacks him, I can not say that I wouldn't fight back.  BY NO MEANS DO I CONDONE A MAN HITTING A FEMALE. However, I know a couple people who have gotten in trouble for pushing a female AFTER she physically attacked him.  The same way any female would feel the need to attack if physically provoked, a man will have the same reaction but to a higher degree.  I saw both of them get incarcerated while the charges against the females did not pass.  My problem is that if a woman does not want to get fought like a man, then she need not attack a man like she is a man.  Both of them were in the wrong, which is why I believe both of them should've received punishment.

Anybody understand what I am saying?

I wanna hear yalls opinions?

I repeat,
BY NO MEANS DO I CONDONE A MAN HITTING A FEMALE.

Ok what did you do?  ;D

Women want it all! And usually it means belittling men! What funny to me is how quick a women will cry that there is no real men but really there's no real women!!!

Women play their cards. One day they can abuse you and then when the police come they play the Ole little miss innocent.

It depends on the situation. If its some little skinny chick, then I aint gonna her back. but if its some big ol brolic chick, I'm fightin back. If this woman is your girlfriend/wife, you are probaly better off just trying to get her off of you, instead of hittiing her back. When she calls the cops she wont have any bruises, but you will.

Being a man is kinda like being black; there are just some things you should know better than to do

Why I dont mess with women bigger than me:

......well...I've been there!....and I have had the police there and I can tell you this....know the law...before you knock her out!....My rule is simple....don't hit me unless you expect to get hit back!.....period....I never hit first!....Wife # 2 broke the rule......I was moving my stuff out and she jumped me.....(she was a jumper!)....(she also jumped wife #1 while they bumped into each other dropping off kids one day!)....

...Now the thing here is she jumps me...and I do this really cool Aikedo move that hurts her wrist...(had to see it...very cool!)....none the less she calls the police.....(this is on Long Island Ny)....The law at the time was who ever starts the fight ....goes to jail.....So when the police get there she tells them I just up and hit her....Mr police man is dangling the cuffs.....jingle ...jingle....

So I told him what happened...and he asked the witnesses...but wasnt sure....(so far everyone said she started it.....But then he asked HER daughter!!!!.....Im thinking ....OMG....I'm finally going to jail...cuz she is the biggest liar known to mankind!

....The officer takes her upstairs...cuz he sees her mother signaling her!....on her way up the stairs with the cop she looks back at me....worried!!!!....I say..."they can tell if you are lying!".....(I made that up!)

....The cop comes back down the stairs and in a loud voice says...."Mrs Hanif.....we have a problem!....your own daughter says that you did it....and he just warded you off!........Silence......wait....wait....th en he asks me if I WANT.....her to go to jail.....Pwaaaaaaaaah

....he dangles his hand cuffs at me...but when it comes to her he's got questions for me to answer....total double standard....

.....when it was all over I just asked him to stick around so I could get my stuff...and he did!....

I thought this would be interesting for those who lived more peacefully! ;D

this is a true story....no actors!

Oh yes, there is definitely a double standard.  I have spoken of it many times in this very forum when discussing a particular public figure in the ministry who pointed the finger at a certain Bishop when something popped of between them.  In that situation, I truly believe that it was all her from start to finish and she got dealt with when he simply defended himself, but he got arrested and basically labeled as an abuser.  He took a plea bargain to save face, but the damage to his reputation is done.  She has not recanted her accusations in any way, which perpetuates the double standard.  The saddest part of it al is, a man can't hit a woman even in defense of himself, but if he lets a woman beat him up to avoid going to jail, he's labeled a punk.  Go figure.

I won't call any names, but don't expect me to BuY(NUM) a $5000 ink pen in the next couple of WEEKS!!!!!!!.

Hum..... I am a woman that knows what I want It sure as heck aint a thug... however my problem is that I don't see a man that is up to my standards (you know a good man that knows what he wants IS NOT AFRAID TO BE WHAT GOD HAS CALLED HIM TO BE, don't come out the house lookin like a fool on wheels, knows how to respect a woman, knows the difference between a MOTHER and a Wife!!!!, ETC. ) NOT TO SAY THAT THERE IS NOT ONE OUT THERE JUST NOT AROUND GAINESVILLE, I AM SURE THAT THERE ARE BECAUSE I TALK TO THEM EVERYDAY ON HRE LOL. BUT I am striving to a Proverbs 31 woman and every man can't handle that. So if a thug is all that is left, hum guess I wont be getting married, lol. BECASUE KIESHA AIN'T LOOKIN FOR NO THUG!!!
