Have you checked out Uriah's site?  Good stuff (figured I'd plug it for him).

Personally, I would suggest studying your minor pentatonics (blues scales), because those will fit almost anything.  I'm going to post a thing on them soon.  Also the hybrid pentatonics (which are basically you monir pent and major pent crammed together--I'll hit those, too).

Also, work on your major scales, because not everything can be played with blues scales, but it gets you in pretty good.

Well, I should ask, by "runs" do you mean little fillers between the chords, or all-out lead?

AND, welcome to LGM, by the way.

There hundreds more but if you learn this one, it'll get you started in the right direction. :D

Hey,

If you just want to develop som fillers, defenitely work on the pentatonics.  These basically form the "box shape" everyone talks about (they kinda' box in your barre chords).  I'll try to get this stuff posted this weekend maybe.

Honestly, if you just play around you figure them out yourself--I was using them for a few years, then I took some lessons (thought I had hit a plateau...), and he explained the pents to me, and I was like "oh, that's what those are..."

I'll work on that stuff tonight and get it to you.

Have fun with it--and don't tell me you can't have fun workin' for the Lord!
 :D
God Bless

Sure, Learn the sliding pentatonic which covers the fretboard. You can use it with major chords and minor chords. Fits with everything when you learn to use it with taste!
