"Come on and Bless the Lord with Me"
« on: November 30, 2004, 04:43:55 PM »
Anybody know who sings the song "Come on and bless the lord with me"?
The leader says that, then the choir comes in with Hallelujah.

The chords repeat.

C- come on and bless the
F- Lord with
C/G- Me.

C/G- Bless the
F-Lord with
C- Me.

You can invert the chords into which ever key you need or would like, and you know that you can always add in your own variations. Sometimes at my church we add a reggae or carribean flavor, but its all up to.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry, its sung by a lot of different groups, but I learned it off of a Bishop TD Jakes CD.

Here's a version in C

C / E G C - BLESS
E / D Ab - THE
F / Eb A - LORD
G / F A C -WITH ME

DO THAT 3 TIMES THEN ON THE LAST ONE TRY THIS

Eb / G Bb C Eb - BLESS
G / - THE
Ab / F# Bb C# F - LORD
C# / F Ab C Eb - WITH
C / E G B D - ME

The ending is a 2-5-1 substitute progression (just learned that last nite from 4hisglory 8O  :D  :D ) but it works!!
