I know you meant the B string on the guitar. What i was saying was that as a former bassist, you are used to your B string being the thickest string.

Is that guitar in your avatar the one you've been waiting so long for?

Nope. I'm still waiting though. That may take another two weeks to a month, but i hope not. I was in GC yesterday and saw this beauty. Its even prettier in person, the pictures don't do it justice. I always wanted a humbucker-equipped gee-tar and this was in my price range. :) My bassist, who is a guitar snob, even likes it despite the fact that its made in China.

I'm launching it this on Wednesday service along with a new subtle red pin-striped shirt. ;D

The car, job, house wife/husband are not the reward, God is.

Thanks.  :)  That's great advice!

UPDATE:  Last night the leader of the band canceled rehearsal and set it up for next week.  I can't make it next week cause I have to work.  We only rehearse together once a month so I now have the rest of the month to learn these songs!  God is good!  ;D

Another update:  So the practice is tomorrow and I'm STILL not ready.  Sheesh! February was more hectic than expected.  On top of that I'm stuck on "Lord Your Are Good" by Israel Houghton.  After the chorus finishes the second time the guitarist is doing a bunch of stuff and I'm stuck, mainly, on that.  The other things I'm stuck on in the song can be worked out pretty easily, IMO.  The other songs are "Bless The Lord" by Tye Tribbett and GA, "Love Medley" by God's Chosen, and "Glorious" by Martha Munizzi.

I'm nervous because, like I said, this group ALWAYS sees me at my worse.  God may not give me more practice time, but I know he's got this...but I'm still nervous.  It seems kinda backwards to say, "I know he's got this" followed by "but I'm still nervous" IMO.

Did you see my video instruction for "You Are Good"?

And "Bless the Lord" is really easy. I mean, once you've got the basics down, it's easy. I was going to do a demo on that tune soon.

Thanks for the video Dave!  As soon as they fix the issues with the internet at my house I watch the video  (for the time being I'm downgraded to dial-up).

BTW:  God gave me more practice time!!  The 3/14 rehearsal was canceled!  It's going to be on 3/21 now.  Luckly this week is Spring Break for me so I will have lots of practice time in between studying for mid-terms!
