I usually never shop for new clothes until they are falling apart. This year pastor insists everybody wear all white so I had to go buy a new suit. I HATE WHITE!!!!

I've never did the Easter clothes thing. I'm a sharp dresser every Sunday. Besides, it looks like you have on new duds when you have more outfits then The number of Sundays in a year. ;D

I must be different, cuz there aint nothing like Resurrection Sunday (or any Sunday) with a new suit! I have to recycle this year, but I'm still pulling something out from way back in the closet. Seems like today, people don't like dressing up for Jesus no more. Folks like 'It don't take all that'

There's nothing wrong with dressing up for Jesus, but a lot of the time these things become a dress to impress those who come to church thing.  IMO if you dress up for Jesus that seems like something one would do every Sunday or whenever they know they're going to enter into the house of God as opposed to on Resurrection Sunday.

Correction:

... going to enter into the house of God as opposed to just on Resurrection Sunday.

it is kind of intriguing though,...how as soon as someone doesn't have a "dressy" outfit to wear, they up and decide "well, i'm just not gonna go to church today, because I don't have anything to wear."  I do know some people that put so much emphasis on what you have on, that it could be a turn-off for people that need to come,  because they feel like they are not dressed up enough.

I have a brand new suit that I thought about wearing, but haven't gotten the pants hemmed, and I have seemed to misplaced my ties, so I guess I'll be going with a dress shirt, w/ the sweater over it.  Yeah....dressing up for easter just isn't like it used to be.

How'd I know somebody was going to say that! I was talking about those who don't dress up at all on sundays, never, even when they're asked. I feel you should try to dress nice to church as a respect to God. Some people wanna dress up to go to the club(none of yall, I suppose), then wanna rock a T-shirt and some Nikes to church. come on now!
