I like "No One Else" by Kurt Carr. It's not exactly a solo but it can be done...well it was done by a lady at my church for the same occasion. The words are perfect Smiley

You can also do "Lord I'm Available to You" by Rev. Milton Brunson

I forgot about Lord I'm Available to You.

I'll check out No One Else. That one doesn't ring a bell.

Thanks for your suggestions..

I think this will be the one. I've heard "of" this song but heard it for the first time today.

Thanks Sj... Smiley

"Let It Bke Me" by Pastor Chris A. Harris Sr./Jr. (can't recall which).

It's on Bishop David G. Evans' "Healed W/out Scars" & his own personal project as well.

Thanks LT..

I hope you all will continue to add to this thread. It's hard to find good songs for specific occasions. You don't just want to sing just any ole' song for your pastor. Pastor's are special people...

Sj, "Beautiful feet" is up this Sunday... I kind put my own flava on it, lol. I almost change my mind about doing it...I'm not much on contempory music...but I think he'll like it. We had a bible study recently when where this topic came up. That's really why it caught my attention when I saw the title..lol...This will let him know I was listening... Grin

I don't like the songs he likes....LOL. (Just kidding)

But I've recently found out some that he likes....Even though I've forgotten what they are, lol, I can find out again when I need them.

These are all some good suggestions. I'll have to come to this thread when I'm stomped for songs..

It's your Time by Luther Barnes is real good.  Check out the Lyrics.
You’ve been faithful, you’ve been true
And you’ve done all that you can do
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
You applauded for the rest
Now it's your time to be blessed
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
(REPEAT CHORUS)

You’ve waited for so long
But you held on, and you were strong
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
You encouraged everyone else
When you needed it for yourself
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
(CHORUS)

You encouraged everyone else
When you needed it for yourself
And for your faithfulness, it's your time

This song is dedicated to all of you who have been working in the vineyard for the Lord for what seems like a lifetime. You have dreamed and you’ve worked towards things that you’ve wanted to accomplish for yourself. But somehow your biggest goals always seem to be just out of your reach. But the Lord told me to tell you He knows who you are. Yes, He's seen your work and He's also seen your tears. And He wants you to know that you are not forgotten. He's here to reward you for all your faithfulness. For He said in His word if you will delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart. In other words, not only will He give you what you need, but He promised to give you whatever you want. So don't get discouraged. So don't give up. Hang in there and prepare yourself for your blessing. It's your time now.

You have waited for so long.
But you held on, you were strong
And for your faithfulness (5 times)
Because you hung in there when times got hard
And when it seemed like nobody cared
You kept right on working
You kept right on doing good things
And for your faithfulness
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
He told me to tell you, it's your time
