Go to midi list on the bottom left of the scene and right click on the address and click target to save it to a floppy disk.  You can also check out Sister T's site, she has alot too.

daredarea,

MIDI files are not audio.  They are basically just the control data that tells the MIDI player what to do.... i.e. what voice, what duration, what pitch etc. etc.

Because of this, they are very small files, and are great for passing around on the internet, as well as storing on floppies.

But you must have some sort of MIDI playback device, just as you would need an MP3 player for that type of file.

Hope This Helps,

God bless,
Eggs

daredarea,

Read Joy's post above.... basically, right click, save as, and then navigate to your floppy drive.

Once you start VanBasco, I believe you can just select file open, and navigate to where the file is on your system, and it will play it.  I've used it only once so far, so I'm not an expert.

Hey i used midi files, alot in church, i run them through my laptop, then i run it the house sound system. I use vanbasco player, sometimes i play the files off of floppy disk, Vanbasco has a playlist and you can store whatever songs you need to play you can also loop the song. Let me know some of titles you are looking for, i may have the midi files, then i can email them to you

Also,

If you have a workstation board like I do (Motif) you can load midis directly into the board via a smartmedia card or external hard drive or something.  You can then play them as they are, or you can changes voices, tempo, rhythms, or add, or takeaway whatever you want.  It also cuts down the gear you need.  It works very well actually.

Hope this helps.

hey Eggs

Tell me about your keyboard, I may be in the market for a new one (although, its a toss-up between that or a computer for home)

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thankyou all so much. You are all so kind. I do fret so much about organising people. I also worry a lot about letting people down. God Bless
