Why is it when me and church family go...

Why is it when me and my church family go to other churches with slightly older populations these "older respected and respectful" christians look at me funny because I play my instrument in church? I play the sax, but I play for church. Now, I do play jazz because that was the avenue in which I chose to learn music. I've been playing for churches since I was 10 years old (I'm 28 now).
Why do these folk praise me to my face then go and complain to my god-father who is my pastor? I am using my gift for god. God gave me my gift and I plan using it untilI leave th earth. I'm not giving up my gift FOR NOBODY!!! I believe in praising God by ANY MEANS NECESSARY and praise him whenever I have a chance. I have the word on my side Psalm 150...
Why do they act this way? It's not all older churches that are like that, but there are some. Why do they act this way?

Some think it should only be for church. But few sax players can make a living that way.

The way I see it, God gave you that talent to bless all, not just those in the four walls of a church...

I have learned there are "church folks" and their are "christians".  And it is the "church folks" job to get on everyone's last nerve.  So continue to blessed and continue to use your gift to praise Him.
