I just did a financial analysis of 2011 so far and thank the Lord I've spent less than I've made, which is a blessing! I've made a little more income than I projected but thank the Lord things are looking well. Still got a couple of areas to improve on (went over in a couple of categories) but overall financially I'm doing pretty good. I'll give myself a B+

Ok, so as far as the accountability for prayer/reading, how exactly would that work?!

Any suggestions?

You could call someone (preferably a buddy or someone you're designated at a prayer/reading accountability partner/buddy) and yall could read scripture together and end with prayer and just report to them about your prayer/bible reading activity.

Just a suggestion.

Yeah, my and my accountability person discussed something like that along those lines. Mostly just checking on each other, etc. Haven't discussed doing it together though. Turns out, she needed one for the same reason as well. :) We're just not sure how to go about it though lol.

Anymore suggestions?

I've been slacking off. Between this heat, and lack of motivation, its been hard for me to get out there.

Chiming in here :)

Just gotta share my weight loss success. On February 14, 2011, the day before my b-day, I decided I needed to do something about my weight. I was tipping the scale at 184 and wearing a size 16. I kept blaming the weight gain on having kids. Well after 5 years, that excuse wasn't working anymore.  I kept seeing weight watchers commercials with Jennifer Hudson and was contemplating about joining it but didn't want deal with extra expenses coming out of my "somewhat of a budget".  After browsing around on the web I stumbled upon a site called Sparkpeople.com and it has totally changed my life.  As of yesterday I have lost a total of 36lbs in about 5 months without ever stepping foot in a gym or costly weight loss centers.

The website has tools to help you reach your weight loss goals through tracking calories, fats, carbs, proteins, and other nutrients. Another added bonus is that it is a totally free program (of course you buy your own food).  They have a suggested menu plan but I never used it. I pretty much eat what I want but I just cook it in a healthier way.  I eat approximately 5 meals per day and drink the suggested 8 cups of water per day.  I also exercise 30 minutes sometimes 3 or 5 days per week by walking on my treadmill or doing DVD's such as the Firm and Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred (that's a killer).  I am now practicing Yoga.

Not to sound like an infomercial, but If you really need help losing weight, Sparkpeople is the way to go!!!!!  In the beginning it was a tedious process but now it is so easy and addictive. It's mobile and did I mention it was free ;D

Oh yeah, I now wear a size 9/10

That's AWESOME Val!!!!! I'm definitely working on losing weight and I too have thought about joining Jenny Craig or Weight watchers but I can't afford it right now. So to make a long story short, Sparkpeople.com....HERE I COME!! Your testimony has really encouraged me to keep trying. Thanks Sis!!

Good deal. It really works. After doing it for 1 week, I lost 5lbs then another 4lbs the next week.  After that, I started losing 2lbs per week, steadily.  If you need any help getting started, I will be more than happy to help.
