Btw, I don't eat chicken, RJ.

Tonight, I decided to make a 20 min meal, which is about what it takes me to go out of my way to McDonalds anyway. I'm having:

Baked whiting (77 calories)
Beef Rice-a-Roni (310 calories)
Glory greens :D (35 calories)
The best bread ever known to mankind (280 calories for 2 rolls)

Total meal: 702 calories, but if I didn't hog out on bread it could be under 500. :)

That's an improvement!

You didn't do what I used to do and have the rice-a-roni swimming in butter did you?   :D

Yea, if you cut the bread out that would have made it even better, but that's definitely an improvement.

the key to flabby stomachs is your diet

Truth.

expound, sir.  And welcome, you've been missed today...

Some people think they can get their abs to show by doing a million situps/crunches and that's just not the case.  Situps and crunches are vital to having a good set of abs, but for most people it's simply too much fat.

The people you see on magazine covers with amazing 6-packs also have a very low body fat %.

Nope, I only put the 2 tbsp that the instructions call for.

And I ended up eating a 3rd roll. :-[

But bread is definitely my weakness. Smh.

When I made rice-a-roni I used to have more butter than rice.   :D

It DID taste good though!!!

 :(

Today is a new day.  I just KNOW you'll do better.   ;D

I did not do my lunges. Or my push-ups. Or anything else.

Is anyone else starting over? I could use a "new start" accountability partner.

Yesterday's meals:

Breakfast:

Egg Whites w/2 slices of wheat toast (approx. 250 calories

10am:
handful of almonds (approx. 90 calories)

Lunch:
6inch Mealball Parm from Blimpies (Blimpies website says: 580 calories)

3pm:
handful of almonds (approx 90 calories)

Dinner:

My wife buys these super healthy chicken burgers at this supermarket near her job.  Four in a pack and each one is pre-seasoned and only 132 calories each!  Not to mentioned they each have 22g of protien!  I picked up some wheat hamburger buns (130 cals each) and had 3 chicken burgers (no cheese).

That's 262 cals each, so it's 786 calories.  I grilled them so I'm sure they're even less calories than that.

That all adds up to 1796 cals.   :)

I have totally kicked McDonalds to the curb (1 year) and I've recently stopped eating Burger King this month. Still don't eat like I should, though. But I'm still drinking the nasty Ensure's, and strawberry does taste better.

I'll start back exercising eventually.

Eat Moar!  Fruits, veggies, nuts, chicken, red meats, lots and lots of milk.

If you eat it, you will grow.  Do that in conjunction with an exercise regimen (I recommend yoga) and you'll grow some lean muscle.

Not necessarily.

Britt has horrible eating habits, but she practically lives off of ice cream. It's possible that even if she eats more (a lot more), she still won't gain/sustain weight.

When I was her age, I was under the care of a dietician to gain weight and STILL couldn't gain any. When I started working out, I got a little heavier, but still not bigger, and even then, couldn't really keep the weight on. My metabolism was just way too high. Now that I'm older, it's slowing down...

Maybe I should eat some Swedish Fish lol.

Worked for me. :D

Aint nobody ask Layla nothing lol.

But it is true. If I don't eat dinner, I'll just eat ice cream :\ Sometimes, I'll go all day without eating. Or I'll eat something before work and won't eat dinner later. Not to mention that I'll choose sleep over eating. :(

HOWEVER, if I'm hungry....that's a whole nother story.

Yeah, my eating habits suck!

I repeat, eat more.    :D

Brit, If you CONSISTENTLY eat 2500-3000 cals per day with exercise (exercise so some of those extra cals go to lean body mass and not straight to your tummy!) you should grow.

If you don't after 2 weeks add 500 cals.  You'll eventually find a calorie range where you're growing.

I doubt you'll reach 5,000 cals per day and still not gain weight.  I HIGHLY doubt that.
