My jeans were feeling really loose yesterday, so I tightened my belt loop another notch.  This morning, I measured and confirmed, I lost another inch off my waistline!

I know the feeling man. I've had to add 3 more lower notches on my belt, and it's still not enough. (For those wondering why I won't just buy another belt, I was broke, lol). Keep up the good work!

It might make sense to just hold out for new stuff anyway.  You'll just have to buy new stuff two months after that anyway.   :-\

Of course you'll have to go through a stretch where you look like you're wearing your big brother's clothes though.   :D

Breakfast:

These things taste so good (well, this flavor does).  Only 6 grams of fat and 4 grams of sugar with a whopping 29 grams of Protein!

Hmmm... is it REALLY good, or good for a health bar?

"Good for a health bar" means you can keep it down.   :D

This one actually tastes good.   ;D

Can't wait to get in the gym today.  It's Chest/Back day.  Couldn't go this morning because...well...I was sleepy.   :D

Didn't get to bed till 1am, so getting up at 4 just wasn't in the cards.

understandable.  I'm trying to find a way to get my workout in tonight.  My goal is 4-5 times a week because of my church schedule, and I'm on course to make 4 times by Friday, but I just really want to get it in tonight, I feel like I've been making some progress.

Lifting more, running on the treadmill a little longer, clothes fitting looser, people giving you compliments...

I had a bit of a scare yesterday.  My head was hurting all day long.  I had checked my BP in the morning and it was a little on the high side, but not too bad, I assumed it was just a fluke as it has been normal and on my visit to the doctor last week he said we will be working toward getting off the medication completely.  Anyway, by the time I got home after a special afternoon service, it was reaching the level of torment.  So I checked my BP and sure enough it was "hypertension emergency" high.  I called a couple of friends to pray with me and just laid down for bed.  I remember my doctor said don't work out when it's high because that'll make it go higher.   I decided not to go to the ER because I know for a fact I've been doing my part, and I felt like I just needed to trust God.

Later on in the night I woke up and took it and it was coming down, then this morning it was up again, but by the time I left for work it was in the acceptable range.  Thank you Lord!

As for weight loss, I am stoked because I am losing again.  For about a week my weight stayed pretty much the same and I was getting a little worried.  We have had more potlucks in the last two weeks at work than we've had all year, lol!  But I'm happy to report, I've currently lost about 16 lbs.  YAY!

Spiritually, I just have so much I could say, but please pray for me.  God is really blessing in ministry, but with that there have been a lot of struggles and uncomfortable places.  I am determined, however, to keep going.

Vanessa.

16 pounds is epic. That is SO awesome. In fact, it's so epic that it stands on its own and doesn't even need special text formatting or gifs.

:D

Seriously, excellent sis! Congrats and keep up the good work. Keep pressing on so you can keep establishing a pattern of victory before the holiday season comes upon us.

(And I'm glad your BP is regulating. That is really scary. I think I told you guys about a year or so ago when one of my sister's employees lost her 35 y/o brother dead of a stroke because he had HBP and didn't know it. My sister has it, too. I usually joke with her that I know it's a pain in the neck, but having to plan a funeral for her would be a pain in my neck... lol).

Thanks, Rue!  You know, I STILL don't notice the loss.  Other people say they see it in my face, but I don't see it anywhere yet.  One of my employees said she didn't really start noticing until about 25 lbs.  We shall see...

It's probably because you see yourself every day. Not a day goes by that I don't look in the mirror and lament about my skin. I'm really obsessive about it, actually. My sister told me a few weeks ago that my skin is looking great. I totally don't see it. At all. But over the weekend, one of the girls told me the same thing. Still don't see it. LOL. But differences are easier to notice when you're not looking at yourself every day. Same goes with my weight fluctuations. I can gain/lose a good 40 lbs and not notice it until I'm looking at pictures of myself.

Alright now.  Go 'head, RJ!

I'm trying to get in to see my doc today, can't get my BP under control for some strange reason.  It went down but went back up.

I know one thing that has changed for me. I haven't lost much but I feel awesome. When you eat better, you feel better. I don't feel so groggy and sluggish all the time.

Congrats Nessa! That's awesome!

Congrats BW. Four weeks is good! I know how it is to cut off sodas. Props to ya!!
