Major fail these last few weeks.  Gained weight like crazy.

I live by a marina with a 2.4 mile walking trail around it.  Me and my friend have been trying to set aside time to walk it together in the evenings, but our schedules are just not really compatible.  I'm going to have to figure out how to fit it in my schedule, and just go by myself.  Music on the headphones should be all I need.  I may have to get up earlier and go do it in the mornings.  My evening schedule stays pretty full.

In daylight, right?

Um... I was thinking about that.  In the evenings, it would definitely be light out.  In the early mornings, I'm not sure.  I think it does get lighter earlier now.  I guess that wouldn't be a good idea for me to be out there with headphones on oblivious to the world around me in the dark...

Usually on evenings when the whether is fair, there are a lot of people walking dogs, riding bikes, or just out for a stroll.  I've never been in the mornings.

I've finally reached the 20 lbs. mark. Gained a little muscle too.  I gotta step it up though, I wanna see a real difference by summer.

Yeah, I don't want to read about you in the news, sis. :D (seriously, though).

Fwiw, there will probably be a lot of people out in the morning, too. But you need to be sure of that before you get out of the car. :D

Ok so I had my first smoothe disaster this weekend. :D

Whole Foods had blackberries on sale and I LOVE blackberries, so I got a pint. I decided to add some to my peach smoothie, substituting my normal mixed berries for the blackberries. OMGn what a bad move. When you're accustomed to eating blackberries whole, you don't realize how big and how many seeds there are in each one. My smoothie was FULL of seeds, and they were so big that it was really hard to ignore. Plus, it was my first smoothie with reduced sugar (I'm not ready to go substitute yet, but I am trying to cut back). The flavor was okay (definitely needed some more sugar), but the seeds were just unbearable.

So I'll be eating them, but not drinking them. :D

Also, I did a lot of walking last week, and continue to be consistent in counting my calories (which is far more amazing and enlightening than I would've imagined).

You need sugar in your smoothies?  I can't even imagine putting sugar in the smoothies I make.  They're sweet enough on their own, IMO.

Yes, sugar. I don't use yogurt or honey, I use ice + fruit with a splash of juice. Since the ice waters it down, I use sugar to sweeten it up. Keep in mind that I don't really drink smoothies for the purpose of being healthy, I drink them to get more fruit (and soon, vegetables) in my body... and to be honest, sometimes I drink them when I want a frozen cocktail, so yeah... sugar. :D

Ditto.   :D

I'd think the purpose of getting more fruits and vegetables in your body...is to be healthy, no?   :-\

*sigh*

I eat vegetables to get the nutrients and vitamins into my body. I add salt to them to make them taste better. I also add seasoned meat, in many cases. Likewise, I eat fruit to get the nutrients and vitamins into my body. For some fruits, I add sugar to make it taste better (like pink grapefruit, for example). If I'm blending fruit and adding water (ice), yeah, I'm gonna add sugar.

To me, being healthy is a far off goal. I'm not necessarily striving to be healthy, but I am trying to be healthier than I was when I first started thinking about this. I'm pretty sure I've said that since the beginning of this thread... *shrug*

Yea, the one I did I did not add any sugar. But, I won't be adding banana again...ever.  :-\

Banana completely overpowers every other ingredient.   :D

Not completely but, for me, that after-taste remains FAR too long.  :-\

What did you put in it? And yeah, my friend tried to get me to add banana last night, but I refused. Banana is a strong flavor, like pineapples. If you put bananas in, it will overpower everything else.

And LL, what do you put in your smoothies? I'm sure you've said before, but I don't remember.
