Congrats.  I think that your guitar time will suffer somewhat, but it's for a good cause (...a real good cuase  ;)).  But wait until the patter of little feet are heard throughout your home.

Congrats. I will hold my thoughts otherwise lol

Let's just say that if I were a stronger man, I would have stayed single... But the best to you guys ;)

Just messing with you. Life is a compromise in anything. I agree with funkstrat, you may suffer some guitar loss, but now you have someone to do the dishes for lol

cool funk. i get your drift, lol.

and jay, lolol. a nut as usual. that sure is a bright side!

im somewhat fortunate in that she loves music. but i know that still wont be an excuse for much practice time, but she should understand a lil bit.

My only advice: if you and your wife-to-be each put Christ first, you will do just fine.

CONGRATS!!

I got married in Feb. The time is flying by fast.

I actually got more practice time after marriage. And got a third guitar after marriage. lol It was hard to practice before cause I spent so much time with her at her moms and by time I got home I was either beat or spending time with my family.

But anyway man, congrats again!

congrats man. as long as you are real and honest about what your needs are to keep progressing as a musician, and she's somewhat reasonable...then you should be fine.

congrats man. That's a big step. I got married when I was 17, I'm 24 now and I know it was one of the greatest decisions I've made in Life. I'll be praying for you ;D.

Fenix, to be 100% honest, take your time, and make sure that you have done anything you want to do with your life first (things that a marriage would inhibit, I mean).

I am a huge proponent of marriage, but there are a lot of things I could have done with my early 20's that I may now never get to do; go on a small tour with a band, etc.

So, build your hot rod, accumulate your hear, and buy that Harley now (assuming your finances are in order-and if not, make being debt free your priority)

As in all things, make it a matter of prayer, and do not be quick in making that big of a decision.

thanks again guys! i am listening trust me. i am grateful that she is a very God-fearing sweet young lady who loves music.

matter of fact, she understands somewhat my level of commitment b/c we actually met at one of my band's gigs. she was there supporting one of the background singers who she went to church with. during one of our breaks, the singer mentioned to me that she thinks i should meet her friend. said she's a real nice girl. i said cool, but the band was going back up for the next set, so i asked her to tell her to hopefully stay around and soon as we finish, i will find her. well, during the last set towards the end, i hear the singer call my name. when i look at her, she motions toward the door. i look and the young lady and her friends are walking out and leaving. i looked back at the singer kinda like what do i do? she shrugged her shoulders like "iont know fool!". well, for whatever reason, i took my guitar off in the middle of the song, ran off the stage and stopped her outside of the door. we chatted for a second and i got the digits (woohoo! lol). anyways, a year and 8 months later, here we are.

so maybe i actually set a bad precedent... i will put down the guitar for her! oh no!! lol.

You can use that for leverage in an argument! LOL!

But yeah that's a nice story!
