Having been in many of those situations, I agree with the fellas, it aint that bad. Shoot, I was in HS football, Band, College band, Fraternity, and in the Army. It does build a sense of camraderie and tightness of the unit because you endure together. Thats nothing. I came in my college freshman yr a little more skilled than the rest of the tuba line, so much that I was made section leader as a freshman. Know what? I still shined all 10 of them sousaphones before Saturday's game (no drumline references please lol). As long as it doesnt get overboard, it does build character and pride. Not that I condone any type of hazing activity
